Description

This festive Christmas Sugar Cookie Dip is a creamy, sweet treat that’s perfect for holiday parties. Made with heat-treated sugar cookie mix, cream cheese, milk, vanilla and almond extracts, and whipped topping, this dip is easy to prepare and pairs wonderfully with fruit, crackers, or cookies for a delightful dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 17.5 oz sugar cookie mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 8 oz cool whip thawed

Instructions

  1. Heat the Sugar Cookie Mix: Put the sugar cookie mix into a large microwave-safe mixing bowl and microwave it in 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the mix reaches a temperature of 165℉. Then allow it to cool completely.
  2. Beat Cream Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add Milk and Extracts: Add the milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the cream cheese and beat well until fully combined.
  4. Incorporate Sugar Cookie Mix: Add the cooled sugar cookie mix into the cream cheese mixture and beat until there are no lumps remaining.
  5. Fold in Cool Whip: Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip using a spatula until the mixture is fully blended and smooth.
  6. Chill and Serve: Transfer the prepared dip into a serving bowl, optionally top with holiday sprinkles, and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Make sure you heat-treat the sugar cookie mix before using for safety.
  • Store the dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, and refrigerate within 2 hours of serving.
  • Ensure the whipped topping is thawed before folding it in, and use a spatula instead of a mixer to maintain a creamy texture.
