Units Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups milk (or heavy cream for extra richness)
  • 12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or fettuccine)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef & Garlic: Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet or pot over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook for 6 minutes, breaking it up until browned. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add Liquid & Pasta: Pour in beef broth and milk. Stir well. Add pasta and Italian seasoning, making sure the pasta is mostly submerged. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until pasta is tender.
  3. Make it Creamy: Reduce heat to low and stir in parmesan cheese and butter until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning if needed. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of milk or broth.
  4. Serve & Enjoy: Garnish with fresh parsley and extra parmesan. Serve hot with garlic bread or a side salad!

Notes

  • Make it extra creamy by swapping milk for heavy cream.
  • Add mushrooms or spinach before simmering for more flavor and texture.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of milk to restore creaminess.
