Description

These Halloween Peanut Butter Spiders are a fun and festive no-bake treat perfect for spooky celebrations. Made with creamy peanut butter, brown sugar, and flour, rolled into balls and decorated with pretzel stick legs and vegan chocolate chip eyes, they are easy to make and deliciously addictive.

Ingredients

Scale

Spider Bodies

  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour

Decorations

  • Halved pretzel sticks for legs
  • Mini vegan semi-sweet chocolate chips for eyes

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, stir together the peanut butter and brown sugar until well combined.
  2. Add Flour and Form Dough: Gradually add the all-purpose flour into the peanut butter mixture, stirring until a dough forms that can be rolled into small balls.
  3. Roll into Balls: Pour some flour into a pie pan to prevent sticking and roll the peanut butter dough into small balls.
  4. Freeze the Balls: Place the peanut butter balls in the freezer for about 1 hour to firm up.
  5. Add Legs and Eyes: Remove the peanut butter balls from the freezer and insert three halved pretzel sticks on each side of the ball to create spider legs. Then press mini vegan chocolate chips into the front for eyes.
  6. Refrigerate to Harden: Return the decorated spiders to the refrigerator for additional chilling if you want them firmer.
  7. Serve: Enjoy your peanut butter spiders chilled. For less mess, serve in mini cupcake cases with napkins nearby.

Notes

  • Use creamy peanut butter for best results; if too soft, add a thickener to stiffen the dough.
  • Chilling the dough makes it easier to roll into balls.
  • Serve chilled or slightly softened at room temperature for better texture.
  • Use mini cupcake liners to help contain stickiness and make serving easier.
