Description
Create spooky and fun Halloween Spider Energy Balls with simple ingredients like chocolate energy balls, candy eyeballs, and black licorice laces. This easy no-cook recipe transforms healthy energy balls into festive treats perfect for Halloween parties or snacks.
Ingredients
Energy Balls
- energy balls, preferably chocolate (such as chocolate bliss balls) – quantity as desired
Decorations
- candy eyeballs – 2 per energy ball
- black licorice laces or grape or dark fruit leather (blueberry, blackberry, etc.) – enough for 8 legs per spider (4 on each side)
Instructions
- Add Eyeballs: Press two candy eyeballs gently onto each chocolate energy ball, ensuring they stick properly.
- Attach Legs: Cut the black licorice laces or dark fruit leather into thin strips to create spider legs. Insert 4 legs on each side of the energy ball by gently pressing them into the ball to secure.
- Repeat: Continue the process with the remaining energy balls to make as many Halloween spider snacks as desired.
Notes
- Use soft energy balls for easier assembly; soft and sticky date-based chocolate energy balls work best.
- If your energy balls have been refrigerated, allow them to come to room temperature to soften before decorating.
- You can substitute black licorice with any dark flexible fruit leather if preferred.
- Press the candy eyes and legs gently but firmly to keep them attached without damaging the energy balls.
