Description

Delicious Hot Italian Sub Sliders made with Kings Hawaiian rolls layered with ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone cheese, and spicy peppers, brushed with garlic Italian butter, baked to golden perfection. Perfect for parties or a tasty snack served with marinara sauce for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 12 pack rolls, halved lengthwise (Kings Hawaiian recommended)
  • 6 oz ham, thinly sliced
  • 5 oz salami, thinly sliced
  • 5 oz pepperoni, thinly sliced
  • 9 slices provolone cheese
  • ⅓ cup pepperoncini, sliced
  • ⅓ cup pickled hot cherry peppers, sliced
  • ¼ cup salted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed (fresh recommended)

To Serve (optional)

  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Assemble Sliders: Lay the bottom halves of the rolls on a baking sheet or pan. Layer ham slices first, followed by salami, then pepperoni, and top with provolone cheese slices. Add sliced hot cherry peppers and pepperoncini on top. Place the top halves of the rolls back on to complete each slider.
  3. Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine melted salted butter with Italian seasoning and crushed fresh garlic. Mix well to create a flavorful butter mixture.
  4. Brush Sliders: Generously brush the Italian garlic butter mixture over the top buns of the sliders, ensuring all nooks and crannies are coated for maximum flavor.
  5. Bake: Cover the sliders with foil and bake in the preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve: Remove sliders from oven, slice individually, and serve warm. Optionally accompany with marinara sauce for dipping to enhance the flavor experience.

Notes

  • Using fresh garlic instead of jarred makes a big difference in flavor.
  • Kings Hawaiian rolls add a perfect sweet contrast to the spicy meats.
  • Covering the sliders with foil prevents them from drying out during baking.
  • You can adjust the amount of hot cherry peppers and pepperoncini depending on your spice preference.
  • Marinara sauce on the side adds a delicious tangy element when dipping.
  • For easier slicing, let the sliders cool for a few minutes before cutting.
