Description

Delicious no-bake Oreo truffles made with crushed Oreo cookies and cream cheese, dipped in melted white or dark chocolate, and decorated with sprinkles. Perfect as a sweet treat that requires minimal preparation and no baking.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 25 original Oreo cookies
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened

For Dipping and Decoration

  • 1/2 cup chopped white chocolate for dipping
  • 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate for dipping
  • Assorted sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Pulse the Oreo cookies in a food processor until they are crushed into small crumbs.
  2. Add cream cheese: Add the softened cream cheese to the crushed Oreos and process until the mixture forms one big balled clump that looks very shiny.
  3. Form truffles: Use a medium cookie scoop to portion the mixture into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball between the palms to create a smooth, even shape. Place truffles on parchment paper and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
  4. Melt chocolates: Place each kind of chocolate in separate microwaveable bowls. Microwave in 30-second intervals until nearly melted, stopping when a few small pieces remain to prevent burning. Stir to fully melt with residual heat.
  5. Dip truffles: Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate of your choice. Place back on parchment paper. Decorate with sprinkles or extra chocolate drizzle as desired.
  6. Set truffles: Let the chocolate harden using one of three methods: room temperature for 30 minutes, refrigerate for 10 minutes, or freeze for 3 minutes. Enjoy once set.

Notes

  • Use regular Oreos, not Double Stuf, as the filling balance is better for this recipe. Alternative cookie brands like Back to Nature, Newman-O’s, or Famous Amos also work well.
  • You can choose any chocolate for dipping: white, milk, ruby, or dark. For sweeter truffles, use white, milk, or ruby chocolate; for less sweet, use dark chocolate.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator within a couple of hours in an airtight container layered with parchment paper for up to one week.
  • To freeze, store in an airtight container for up to two months.
