Description

This refreshing Strawberry Daiquiri recipe combines fresh and frozen strawberries with rum, simple syrup, and lime juice to create a smooth, delicious cocktail perfect for any occasion. Customize it easily as a nonalcoholic version or adjust sweetness and rum content to your liking.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Strawberries

  • 1 pound strawberries

Liquids

  • 4 ounces rum
  • 3 ounces simple syrup
  • 1 ounce lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries: Remove stems from the strawberries and slice them in half. Freeze half of the berries (8 ounces) for at least 2 hours until solid.
  2. Blend the Cocktail: Add the fresh berries and frozen berries to the jar of a high-speed blender. Pour in the rum, simple syrup, and lime juice. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Serve and Garnish: Pour the blended mixture into serving glasses. Garnish each with an extra strawberry and/or a slice of lime for a decorative touch.
  4. Optional Nonalcoholic Version: To make a nonalcoholic daiquiri, omit the rum and replace it with 4 ounces of water before blending.

Notes

  • If you don’t want to wait for berries to freeze, use 4 ounces of frozen strawberries and 4 ounces of fresh strawberries instead.
  • You can adjust the amount of rum to your preference; if you use less rum, add some water to help with blending.
  • Adjust simple syrup to taste depending on how sweet your strawberries are.
  • For rum, white rum or coconut rum are recommended, but spiced or dark rum works well too.
